FAST FORWARD Drift – Wedstrijdwaardige prestaties zonder compromissen Als gravelwedstrijdrenner in de agegroup 55-59 heb ik de FAST FORWARD Drift wielset onder de meest uiteenlopende omstandigheden uitgebreid kunnen testen. Van zware beklimmingen en technische, rotsachtige afdalingen tijdens de Wereldbeker in Castellón (Spanje), tot de snelle gravelparcoursen van Turnhout (België), de gevarieerde omloop in Roden en de korte, steile beklimmingen met risicovolle afdalingen tijdens Marly Gravel. In al deze wedstrijden hebben de FFWD Drift-wielen mij nooit in de steek gelaten. Ze zijn licht, stijf en uiterst betrouwbaar. De wielen sturen direct, geven veel vertrouwen in snelle bochten en blijven ook op ruwe ondergronden perfect controleerbaar. Dankzij de moderne velgbreedte sluiten bredere gravelbanden, zoals de Vittoria Terreno T30 Pro, perfect aan op de velg. Dat zorgt voor extra grip, comfort en stabiliteit zonder snelheid in te leveren. Voor mij is de FAST FORWARD Drift de ideale gravelwielset: snel op het vlakke, efficiënt in de beklimmingen, stabiel in technische afdalingen en betrouwbaar onder alle omstandigheden. Of het nu gaat om een Wereldbekerwedstrijd of een lokale gravelrace, deze wielset levert keer op keer topprestaties.
Fast, Reliable and Built to Last
As someone who regularly races gravel events, I demand a lot from my equipment, and these wheels have exceeded my expectations. They offer an excellent balance of stiffness, comfort, and efficiency, making them equally capable on fast gravel roads and technical sections. I’ve put them through demanding race conditions, high-speed descents, rocky terrain, and long training blocks without a single issue. They accelerate quickly, maintain speed exceptionally well, and have proven to be remarkably durable. A reliable and confidence-inspiring wheelset that performs at a very high level.

DRIFT PACENothing seems to stop them
Superb wheels - they haven't flinched over 3000km of rough gravel riding and racing including seven days of the Gravel Burn and 13 hours of Unbound Gravel 200. They feel fast and just keep on trucking, and dressed with 2.2" Conti Race Kings I feel a certain invincibility! I have them set on an Argon 18 Dark Matter, and combined make for a super smooth and fast ride. Graphics have taken a beating, but I'm sure FFWD can solve that for me. I'd recommend these to anyone who enjoys riding at their limit.

Het ziet er zó strak met 45mm banden onder de Spiders. De keuze was eenvoudig na ruime ervaring met de Ryot 55's op onze racefietsen. Bewuste keuze voor de "lagere" velghoogte tov de Pace en geen moment spijt van. Wat opvalt is de stabiliteit van het geheel op onverharde paden, de naam "control" lijkt niet toevallig gekozen. We gaan ze komende tijd meer aan de tand voelen en hebben daar nu al enorm veel zin in.
Top Upgrade
Met de aanschaf van de FFWD Drift Pace 48mm wielen heb ik een complete upgrade van mijn Specialized Comp Carbon gedaan. Wat een ongekende verbetering, betere stabiliteit, directer sturen, lichter, sneller vooral off road, aanzetten veel directer, al met al een aanrader die zijn investering dubbel en dwars waard is. Topwijnen.

Highly recommended
Have ridden the Drift Pace (DT240) now for three weeks. Approximately 600 km with Schwalbe g-one R/RS pro 45mm. With TPU tubes. Mixed surface. Everything from rough single trail to tarmac. Overall they perform really well. Slightly sensitive to sidewinds on open stretches, but not more than to be expected from rims with this spec. And in no way problematic to handle, if you keep both hands on the steering wheel. With this limited data, I find they perform the best on smooth to semi rough trails. They are slightly too stiff for single track in my view. But again that is expected. And not what I went for. Handling and cornering is precise and easy. Ordering and shipping is 10/10. My order was shipped from the Netherlands same day I ordered and I had them set up and running two days later in Denmark.
