My story is important for anyone needing a single: this is regarding a previous (2020) generation Ryot 55 dt240 wheelset that I wanted to turn into a mixed set and needed a (2020) Ryot 44 single front in order to do so.. not only was Steven kind enough to send me the 44, but I got it at a very reasonable price, with shipping and taxes included and I have to say, the 44 wheel is perfectly balanced and runs like a charm with the 55! The 55 front was a little bit too aggressive for me, but with the 55/44 rear/front respectively, I love this set. I wasn't even aware that FFWD would sell single wheels..! I couldn't be happier with how this worked out!

Ik rij zelf sinds een paar maanden met de Ryot 55 en mijn zoon met de Ryot 44. Tot nu toe de beste wielset die ik heb gereden. Ze zijn stijf, wendbaar en niet erg windgevoelig. Iets waar ik met mijn vorige wielset wel veel last van had.

Superb wheels set....

The wheels arrived in good condition and at first glance I was very satisfied – they are really beautiful. Unfortunately, I encountered an issue with the rear wheel. After installing the tire, I discovered that it was losing air due to incorrectly applied rim tape. As a result, I had to visit a service center twice. First, the tires were installed, and after discovering the issue, I had to return again to have the tire removed and the rim tape replaced. This caused me additional service costs, which was quite disappointing given that the wheels are brand new.

Outstanding!

The wheelset and customer service are outstanding. Questions answered, packaged excellently and shipped fast with a free hat! I have about 500 miles on the Ryot 44 wheelset, currently setup tubeless running 35mm tires and its the most outstanding ride to date! Looking forward, (not fast) to a long and versatile relationship with these wheels.

Superb wheels

I was doing a small research before buying my first new set of carbon wheels. Even discussion with ChatGPT ended with recommendation of FFWD Ryot's with DT Swiss hubs. :) And I am glad I've pulled the trigger. The wheels are absolutely amazing. Not only that they looks so good and the branding is subtle, yes some of us do not like big white letters everywhere :) They are stiff and want to go fast, encouraging you with the question is that all you've got? :D I went with 44s, in the middle, as I was afraid 50 for the side wind, but no big issues there. Even my lightweight body configuration can handle it easily after some practise. On the straights I am around 2kph faster than on my old alu wheels with the same power. And they are lighter than my old DT Swiss 30 alu wheels, so climbing no issue, actually I am faster there as well. Did only 200km so far, but seems they will last long time, hoping. Price performance ratio is excellent I will say. Will try them on some gravel later this year, but on road despite the fact they are stiff are also very comfortable to ride. Not mentioning that the delivery was super fast and packaging very nice, you will get also a wheels bag which you can use not only for wheels, but as a stylish cycling bag for clothing and other stuff when traveling ;) Excellent job guys, thank you very much.

RYOT 44 - DT SWISS 350 hubs

Love them! My first pair of carbon wheels. They hold speed well enough for me. Went with 44 depth because I am under 60kg and predominantly ride rolling hills. They do catch wind but nothing twitchy nor uncontrollable about them. I opted for the black decals, for that understated look. They are gorgeous! Particularly under sunlight. I ride only on road but wanted something sturdy. They arrived true and still remain that way 2000km later. I will only be switching to tubeless on the next set of tires. Wheelset arrived with tubeless valves installed and in a lovely wheel bag. Extremely thrilled my purchase!

Solid wheels

Good contact with the company, they respond quickly to emails, fast delivery of goods. Wheels packed in a solid cardboard box and additionally in a fabric wheel cover. Wheels of good quality (Ryot 44), stiff, spokes well tensioned, not very sensitive to wind gusts. The n/gage hubs are a copy of the DT Swiss 350 hubs so service is trivial.

Light fast and a joy for the eye

One word: PERFECT

Without a doubt the best wheels I've ever ridden. Light, aerodynamic, responsive... Add to that a superb aesthetic, flawless assembly, and exceptional service. Mounted with 28mm tubeless tires, they literally transformed my bike into a war machine on all profiles. My first FFWD wheelset, but certainly not the last.

FFWD Ryot 44s

Love my new wheel set. I replaced my OEM wheels on a bike I just purchased and noticable change in stiffness, acceleration and free wheeling efficiency. Aesthetically they look amazing and hub noise is beautiful (without being obnoxiously loud 😂). Only been out a couple of times on them but am really liking them so far!

De eerste kilometers op de Ryot44 wielen waren fantastisch. De wielen rijden super. Fantastisch afgewerkt en afgeleverd. Voor aankoop contact gehad met FFWD, waarbij zeer snel werd gereageerd en geacteerd. Daarbij zien ze onder de fiets er ook nog eens goed uit!

Stealth wheelset

I had looked at many wheels for my Time Alp d'Huez build but Mapdec's recommendation sealed the deal although I already have a set of FFWD F2R's. The updated rim with a 23mm inner width was the clincher (if you'll excuse the pun!) as I will be using TPU inner tubes on 28mm tyres so I also wanted hooked rims. The delivery was quick and I love the gloss on carbon branding which will match the Deda stem, bars and seatpost. Just waiting for SRAM to update their Force AXS groupset and the build will be good to go.

I was really impressed with FFWD’s service - from online questions through to delivery. I have ridden the wheels twice now and they’re great - they look very stylish too. I definitely recommend buying a set.

The rims are perfect, they look and ride amazing, just over the top awesome. The customer service is excellent. And the extra samples were a pleasant surprise. I can only recommend any purchase here.

Game changing pair of wheels: FFWD RYOT 44

I'm absolutely thrilled with my FFWD RYOT 44 Wheelset! Since upgrading, I've noticed a significant boost in my overall cycling performance. These wheels are incredibly responsive, making acceleration and climbing a breeze. I've shaved precious seconds off my hill climbs and feel more confident than ever on descents. The RYOT 44's aerodynamic design has also improved my speed on the flats, allowing me to maintain a faster pace with less effort. Whether racing or training, these wheels have taken my riding to the next level. Highly recommended! 5/5 stars

Superblij met deze wielset, ik had oprecht niet verwacht dat het veranderen naar deze wielset voor zo'n verschil zou gaan zorgen. Echt super blij mee.

Super versatile

I have the Ryot 44s on my SL7 and they are the perfect compination of aero and climbing wheels. Super versatile for basically every race - also, they look dope!

Absolutely perfect 👍 If anyone ask me what wheels they should buy -> dont look any further -> RYOT 44 - with 240 hubs ! Customer service is brilliant as well. Cant complain👍

Best in class

I spent a LOT of time researching wheels. I wanted 45-50 depth for aero, light, aero spokes, tubeless hooked rims and could take 30mm tyres for about £1500. I just couldn’t find anything. The 30mm tyres was the biggest issue. Some had dubious hub designs or noisy hubs etc. I then found a recommendation on YouTube for these and after a little deliberation ordered them with the new Dt Swiss 240 hubs and black decals. I put on 30mm conti gps. I couldn’t be happier. They look great, super smooth to ride and definitely faster than my hologram wheels that came with my bike. The build quality is excellent with brass nipples and have stayed spot on after several months riding. They even came with a cracking padded wheel bag. There may be lighter wheels, there may be more aero wheels but I honestly don’t think you will find a better all round wheel for the money. Superb, highly recommend.

RYOT 44 + DT Swiss 240Exp Hub

These are my first set of Carbon Rims on my Trek Emonda 2024 set up tubeless with GP 5000 STR Tyres. They look and sound amazing and are plenty fast enough for me !! feel very stiff and they seem to roll forever ! After reviewing all the options over and over, including those on offer by Chinese company's I kept coming back to FFWD, And contacted them several times before purchase each time the team were always super helpful. The RYOT 44 is (I think) a great depth and FFWD is the only company I found that ships with Brass Spoke Nipples and as I wanted to avoid any possibility of galvanic corrosion this was a major for me. The Crash replacement policy and 3 year warranty is superb with someone you can actually call for support unlike some Chinese brand which may or may not be there tomorrow. I got what i think was a very good deal from my UK supplier (for only a small amount more than something sent over from China). I'm so happy with the purchase and performance so far; Yes there are lighter wheels out there if that's your thing, (Though it seemed to me this was often only a marginal difference when compared on a price point). However here in the UK our roads could often be in a much much better state. So something that can stand up to a little abuse and the surface conditions of them is needed; again step in FFWD. My thoughts, HIGHLY RECOMENDED. "Get Confident Go Fast !" How true that is. Thanks so much to the whole team @ FFWD.

Super happy with these wheels

I'm very happy about the RYOT44. Besides the good looks the wheels feel super stiff. I also love the sound of the DT Swiss hub!

These complete my bike

The finishing touch was my new FFWD RYOT44 wheelset, which I consider the best all-round wheel perfect for such a challenge. The wheels have the highest stiffness in ratio to rim height, and coupled with the new DT Swiss DT240 EXP hubs, I know that I am going faster with them on my bike. They feel super responsive, very efficient and just fantastic addition to my set-up. Ideal for varied terrains and conditions I will meet along my route. The added confidence that the RYOT44 wheels give me, really improve the control for the 10.000 km+ that I will be doing.
