The RYOT55 is made to Go Fast. It’s a choice for sprinters who look for extra stiffness while saving watts during their ride.
The 55mm high rims offer great looks and perfect stiffness which translates your power into speed. Constant improvements in our rim manufacturing process result in significant weight reductions. This set only weighs 1510 grams in the DT240 hub configuration. The perfect combination of aerodynamics and stiffness to be used in flat races or group rides.
Weight gains without sacrificing durability
While chasing weight gains we never compromise on durability. That's why you won't find miniscule bearings or aluminium nipples, but we use brass nipples instead. Our guarantee your wheels will last a long time.
Staying true to our philosophy on hooked rims for road wheels the RYOT now have a 23mm internal rim width. Perfect to fit wider tires and to choose whatever type or brand of tire you prefer.
Choose your hubs
The FFWD N/GAGE hubs are completely redesigned to shave off extra weight. Based on ratchet internals these hubs offer you the best price/quality ratio. If you’re looking for the last marginal gains you can save a bit more weight when opting for the DT240 EXP hubs.
For all our hubs and wheels we keep stock of spare parts. For example body’s, bearings and spokes. All hubs are compatible for 12 x 100mm thru-axles (front), 12 x 142mm (rear) and have a center lock disc rotor fitting.

I had to replace my previous rims due to a crash. The crash replacement program pulled me over the line to go for these wheels. After 3 rides (220km) on them, I must say the wheels feel very comfortable on the bad Belgian roads compared to my precious wheels, without loosing speed. So far, a happy customer!

Na eerst met grote tevredenheid met de Tyro 1 te hebben gefietst, nu over gestapt op de Ryot 55. Ik vind het Top wielen, ze rijden super strak en geven geen krimp onder volle belasting.

Na lang wikken en wegen tussen verschillende wielsets uiteindelijk de keuze gemaakt voor een set Ryot 55’s. Dit is een schot in de roos gebleken. Ze rollen heerlijk en zijn lekker aerodynamisch. En ondanks de hoogte is de zijwind gevoeligheid beperkt. Echt een aan te raden upgrade!
Best choice
Was i doubt for a long time between the 44 and 55 Ryot, especially given the sidewind effects. I still choose the 55, which are no problem at all, i weigh 81 kg, and even with the windy coast were i mostly ride, it hgandles like a charm. Very happy with it, and for me also looks are important, the 55 look awesome !

Was riding Canyon Aeroad with stock wheels. Looked around and landed on ffwd. The wheels are a real upgrade. They’re steady on the road with great aero gains, especially at higher speeds. Happy with the upgrade and de 55’s. Great service from FFWD in delivery.

I predicted a RYOT
Superb wheels, slick, light, and the customer service I received (shoutout to Steven) was very friendly and informative. My only small nitpick is that FFWD have done away with their older (in my opinion, better looking) decal design, but that's purely ascetics.

Beste wielset dat ik al mee gereden heb
Tubeless tape zat niet lucht dicht
Bij het voor het eerst gebruiken van de wielen nadat ik ze tubeless had gemaakt, kwam er lucht uit de luchtgaatjes lopen in de velg. Zit nu een binnenband in, maar wss is de tape dus niet geheel lucht dicht. Verder echt super!

Ik rijd er criteriums en omlopen mee. Bij andere wielen vaak problemen. De wielen blijven heel en recht. Ze rijden en sturen super zowel met droog en nat weer. De service is ook prettig. Direct geholpen toen ik even langs reed.

he RYOT 55 wheels are an absolute gamechanger! The combination of tubeless tires makes riding even more comfortable and provides extra grip. The wheels are incredibly stiff and respond instantly to every pedal, making them perfect for both fast sprints, long stretches as well as climbs. In addition, they are surprisingly light, allowing me to gain speed with ease. They really make me feel like I'm one step ahead of the competition. In short, these wheels are fast, responsive and make any ride a lot more dynamic!
FFWD Ryot 55 DT240 naaf wielset
Zojuist een heerlijk fietsweekendje Teutoburgerwald afgerond met mijn nieuwe Ryot wielset! Superblij dat ik de keuze heb gemaakt voor deze set. De naven zijn ontzettend soepel, zoals gewend van DT Swiss en de stijfheid van de wielset is subliem. Dalen met deze hoge velgen voelen erg vertrouwd en stabiel (ook met zijwaartse windvlagen), sprinten is een genot. Het is geen klimmers setje, maar voor mijn type renner (type "sprinter", 95 kg schoon aan de haak; zo-snel-mogelijk-bordje-leeg sprinter, niet het echte type sprinter) hoeft dat ook niet. Op het vlakke merk ik het verschil duidelijk in aerodynamica ten opzichte van een 30/35 mm hoge velg, zeker met een cross-wind. Wat voor mij de doorslag heeft gegeven voor FFWD t.o.z. ander merken? A. Een rondleiding door het pand, en kennis maken met product en medewerkers. Dit gaf mij vertrouwen in product en bedrijf. B. Het ten alle tijde kunnen leveren en repareren van de wielset i.v.m. in-house equipment (dat is wel anders bij andere merken. C. Het kopen bij een Nederlands bedrijf/in Nederland gemaakt product i.p.v. een buitenlandse bedrijf. Keep up the good work @FFWD
RYOT 55Excellent stable and stiff wheels
When I was looking for new wheels for my Orbea Orca Aero, I wanted something with a wider rim than I had previously, to work better with 28mm tyres. I also wanted something with DT Swiss hubs, so that I can get spare parts anywhere in the world. These wheels deliver on all accounts, and then some. They are noticably stiffer than my old 50mm carbon wheels, handle crosswinds better, and a 28mm GP5000 measures at approximately 29mm. I could not be happier with my choice.

De kracht van vertrouwen maakt onrust tot rust!!
Ik fiets veel in Mallorca. De kustweg in het Tramuntana gebergte, van Andratx naar Valdemossa is een van mijn favoriete routes. Prachtig strak asfalt afgewisseld door slechte stukken asfalt. Af en toe kan het best hard waaien vanaf zee. De wind heeft dan vrij spel. Mijn Roval wielen vervangen door een setje FFWD Ryot 55. Man wat een genot!! Bij het (staand) klimmen blijven de wielen strak op hun plaats. Geen extra last van zijwind en in de afdaling strak als een mes. Geweldige rij-eigenschappen!!! Een aanrader!
RYOT 55Responsive and great handling!
Having used many different wheel brands over the last few years, I thought there weren't many surprises left. However, there were a few very positive ones, and I am happy I discovered them! Having used the RYOT 55 wheelset now for 4 weeks and, I can share only positive feedback. Responsive in every acceleration, easy to handle with a solid crosswind, and pretty pleased with the weight, keeps my bike nicely under the 7.6 kgs.

Rolling at high-speed is seemingly effortless. When accelerating out of the corners and sprinting, they feel stunningly stiff and responsive. Not to forget, cross winds do not seem to have any effect on the superb handling. Wide rims allow for wider tyres which give you all the confidence in the world to tackle your next race. For me, they are the ideal weapon for triathlon drafting races.
